Hidden Bird - 14k Palladium White and Yellow Gold Ring with 2ct Salt and Pepper Diamond with Scrollwork Leaves and a Secret Sparrow

This is a one of a kind ring in 14k gold, with a large salt and pepper diamond with inclusions that looks a bit like a galaxy.
It has a strong blue fluorescence that makes it shine bright blue under UV light, and gives it a faint blue glow in sunlight, making it appear magical.

I hand carved parts of the ring in jewellers wax, and it has been cast in solid 14k gold using the lost wax method. The wax is burned away, and gold takes its place, and then the mold is broken to get the gold out.
I made the ring shank, setting, leaves, swirly scrollwork and the bird separately, and built the ring using traditional goldsmithing methods, soldering the parts together with flames and engraving textures.
It's pretty low set for a 2 carat diamond, I tried to make it as practical for daily wear as a ring this detailed can possibly be. Every leaf and swirl is securely soldered down, so it doesn't snag much.
