Earth and Moon Distance to Scale Solar System Necklace - Stone Bead Planets

This necklace is to scale, the sizes of the Earth and the moon and the distance between.
Did you know that you could fit all the planets in the solar system between the Earth and the moon, and still have a bit of space left?

Earth - Azurite 8mm
Moon - Moonstone 2mm

The necklace is 53 cm long, and the clasp locks onto a silver hoop on the Earth. It will slide so that the Earth, the heaviest part, hangs down, so it seemed the best to put the lock there, to prevent it from being on the side of your neck. The moon will be in the middle at the back, and it's so tiny, so I felt that the clasp would overpower it.

The moon isn't visible when you wear it, unless you put your hair up, but you have a great conversation starter by asking people if they know how far away the moon is relative to it's size, and then using your necklace to show them.

This item is made to order, so please allow a few days for production.
